The SCAD exhibitions department presents Minimalish, a solo exhibition by SCAD painting professor Jason Hoelscher. Hoelscher’s vibrant, abstract paintings are primarily sourced from the rules of perspective and modernist abstraction, but are also influenced by graphic novels, pop, and punk culture. This seemingly unusual combination of elements offers an enlivened investigation of the historical and contemporary influences in art.
